Under the provision of the Article 3 to the Agreement on integrated transport and the shipping tariff in the area of the City of Zagreb, Zagreb County and Krapina-Zagorje County with reg. No. 48/12-I signed on June 4, 2012 between the City of Zagreb, Zagreb County and Krapina-Zagorje, an obligation of establishing a company Integrated traffic of Zagreb area Ltd. or „Integrirani promet zagrebačkog područja d.o.o. or IPZP d.o.o.“ (Hereinafter the Company) is undertaken. The founders of this Company are the City of Zagreb with a share of 60%, Zagreb County with a share of 25% and Krapina-Zagorje with a share of 15%. Company’s headquarter is in Zagreb, Park Stara Trešnjevka 2.

The main objective of theCompany is the preparation and implementation of projects related to the establishment of a new model of passenger transportation and management of the same in the geographical area (area of the founders’ of the Company) of the City of Zagreb, Zagreb County and Krapina-Zagorje County.

The necessity of establishing this Company arises from the complexity of the coordination of a large number of activities and a large number of participants: City of Zagreb, Zagreb County, Krapina-Zagorje, and other present and future system operators such as Croatian Railways, ZET, bus operators, and due to the complexity of the decision-making process.

Programme of IPZP Ltd. for the period of 2017. to 2020. provides guidelines for planned activities related to the preparation and execution of project documentation related to the Master Plan of the transport system of the City of Zagreb, Zagreb County and Krapina-Zagorje County, Traffic model and Strategic study of environmental impact. This will be developed in two phases of the project:

  1. Development of the Master Plan:
    1. Phase I – Analysis of the current situation and development of the transport model, in 2017. and 2018.,
    2. Phase II – Preparation and selection of transport solutions and the implementation of strategic environmental impact assessment, in 2019. and the first half of 2020.
  2. Development of the second phase of the Project of integrated passenger transport
