The Agreement on Development of the 1st Phase of the Master Plan of the City of Zagreb, Zagreb County and Krapina-Zagorje County Transport System

The Agreement on Development of the 1st Phase of the Master Plan of the City of Zagreb, Zagreb County and Krapina-Zagorje County Transport System (the analysis of the current situation and development of the transport model) was signed between the City of Zagreb and the consortium comprising Trames Consultants d.o.o. from Dubrovnik and Ramboll Danmark from Copenhagen in Zagreb on 21 October 2016. The sponsor of this project is the company Integrirani promet zagrebačkog područja d.o.o. (Integrated Traffic of Zagreb Area Ltd). The value of the Agreement amounts to HRK 11,187,500.00 inclusive of VAT and the project implementation period is 12 months as of the date of execution of the Agreement by both parties.

The project will be implemented in two phases:

• Phase I of the Transport System Master Plan– The analysis of the current situation and development of the transport model in 2016 and 2017 in relation to the collection of data on the current situation in the transport system, which includes comprehensive traffic research; traffic counts and surveys as well as the analysis and processing of the collected data by means of the transport model, for the purpose of identification of issues and definition of measures and actions to be undertaken for their solution and implementation of the “0” or “Do Nothing” development phase.

• Phase II of the Transport System Master Plan – The development and selection of the transport solutions and implementation of the strategic environmental impact assessment in 2017 and 2018 concerning testing and valorisation of different scenarios of the transport system development and concrete transport solutions by means of the appropriate transport model, that was previously developed (in the first phase) and adopted, definition of priorities and stages of the traffic system development, selection of the project priority list for each individual stage (time horizon) from the perspective of the program objectives and development of the strategic environmental impact assessment.
